Ordinary person - I won't post often.
Passionate about the world & justice for her people. Grieving as I live the path we are on.
Creating a tiny patch of bushland in my little garden on Awabakal land.
Likes & shares should not be taken as an endorsement.
Spending my lunch break watching it - wish it was going to last a little longer.

Look after yourself, keep up to date via the NSW Hazards Near Me app and, if you have to act, do it early 🌸

There's have been too many exposed cases of police acting in the best interest of a man & against the best interest of a woman for it to be just a couple of 'bad eggs'.
I think there's merit in Latin America's women only police stations - at least for FDV.

It is.
Heartbreaking and infuriating.
The deaths of indigenous women is not inevitable; we understand the systemic issues and know that ignoring pleas for help, treating victims as perpetrators, or as complicit in their circumstances increases their death and injury rates. And yet here we are.

My daughter informs me slug slime is a thing in some cosmetic treatments. She didn't have the details and I chose not to search for them 😂

Not positive but I think it's an eastern banjo frog (pobblebonk). It's wonderful!

I have significant work starting soon. I'm a bit desperate for it to start and at the same time, not at all looking forward to the mess and cleaning up a bathroom after them.

I don't get the big booming frogs - haven't seen a big green tree frog for decades. I'd happily offer your chap a home if it was reasonable/sensible (and I know it's not).

That's annoying for you. Hopefully you'll get used to it over time. I'm lucky - any noise out of the ordinary wakes me but natural sounds are fine and I enjoy them during all the hours I'm not sleeping regardless of noise levels.

I had similar neighbour concerns.
I was just going to point them gently in the direction of their ridiculously loud and squeaky air con installed directly below one of the bedrooms here and shrug.

I had so many common eastern froglets last summer they were louder than the cicadas.
They became an excellent excuse for ending phone conversations quickly 🐸
