Ordinary person - I won't post often.
Passionate about the world & justice for her people. Grieving as I live the path we are on.
Creating a tiny patch of bushland in my little garden on Awabakal land.
Likes & shares should not be taken as an endorsement.
Joined for lunch today by this gorgeous ##GardenFriend - Nymphes myrmeleonides (aka the Giant orange lacewing). It's not at all surprising folks believed in fairies.

This week's #GardenFriend
Turned up in a pile of eucymulch I was moving. I have no idea what it is (happy for suggestions) but it was both impressive and handsome.

Your pic is much better than mine but here's my garden regular. Seems to have spotted something in the currently dry pond. It has learned the deeply mulched garden holds many worms and grubs. Such clever birds.

Today's #GardenFriend
Chrysolopus spectabilis (aka: sapphire/diamond/Botany Bay weevil).
Rescued from a pond and now drying out on a small Acacia paradoxa.

My favourite pics from this evening.

Just back from the local cliffs and beach.
This is my pick of pointing, clicking and crossing my fingers.

Mine today - taken in my lunch break.
If only there weren't multiple coal ships marring the horizon.

Not a snake considered common on the Central Coast but actually iNat has quite a few records.

Another beautiful #GardenFriend for the evening.
I'm guessing Endoxyla literatus - the carpenter moth.

A stunning, chubby caterpillar found in my garden this evening while hosing at the end of a hot day.
Guessing it's some sort of hawk moth but I'm not really sure.

We've just had a very dramatic little hail storm.
The pics don't do the colour of the sky justice - it's glowing yellow!

I don't have 4 legged friends but here's a Currawong just doing its own thing in the garden.

Spring. And a star burst of yellow cone flowers (Isopogon anemonifolius) pushing up through dense Lobelia anceps.

It took 5 months to resocialise this monster and get him back to his person.

There are lots of Pterostylis orchid species popping up in Wallarah National Park but I only know of one tiny patch where Corybus pruinosis grows. A tiny, delicate orchid that I watch for each winter.

Same coastal headland two weeks apart and two very different species. The Superb fairy-wren was stealing food from spider webs in the little pocket Caves. The Australian ravens were enjoying a meal of crab.
