I miss news that left me yawning rather than irate. I won’t be posting much original content, others have typically said it better. I’d rather be talking about dogs, or the amazing & fun animals of the world, or music but here we are. Proud Californian.
I think we share Mayflower ancestors!

My sincere condolences. She was a cutie. Mine passed 4 weeks ago, still tearing up but I start fostering one next week. Virtual hug.

An old man-- 40 year old man, 30 year old man, 70 year old man -- doesn't need 1 billion dollars. They could be very happy with 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 million.

Well, there was work. And dogs. And mainly work friends until I started volunteering at the zoo and joined a neighborhood group. Now, not working 💃and still have volunteering, with different organizations, & really close to adopting or fostering a dog after mine died last month.

To give you some sense of how over the top this operation was, ICE gave Fox News DRONE FOOTAGE of the operation, showing a cavalcade of armored vehicles through the streets of Pasadena to serve a search warrant on a guy whose offense was stapling fliers on power poles with information about LEOs.

I thought of you yesterday, a car passed me on the freeway and they had decorated the rear window with stars, a cactus, and the words “GaGa-Chella” 🙃

The aquarium collects eggs for visitors to hatch during public programs, and deposits the hatchlings into the ocean. Here are mine 🩵

Here’s a closer look. Females burrow into the sand, lay eggs, males surround them to fertilize. Female wiggles out of the hole (looks like a lot of work!) and everyone tries to get back to the ocean.

Eggs develop, hatch when stimulated by high tide about 10 days later, and wash out to the ocean.

In the olden times (2024 and earlier) I’d trust a US developed pharmaceutical product much more than a foreign produced one. Under current management, much less confident in the safety of anything I take, eat, drink, or use.
