I am still hunting for M74/NGC628, and last night, I pointed the Celestron Origin that @hausderastronomie.bsky.social newly acquired that way. It's still a small galaxy for a scope with that large a field of view, but it is a step up from the Seestar S50. 🧪🔭 1/

Saturn in 2024 & over the last four years👇🏽

Bcos of Saturn’s axial tilt of ~ 27deg, the view of the rings has been changing from our perspective; they will appear edge-on by March 2025. Equinox follows a little later, in May 2025.

#astrophotos The colloquial name is “The seven sisters” because folks with good vision can see 7 stars. You can see 6 of the brightest here because the field of view of the scope is too narrow. Messier 45 aka The Pleiades is an open cluster of stars, very young and very hot, hence the blue color.
