This guy knows what’s up. I’m not religious, but this is it right here.
James Talarico: The Bible doesn't mention abortion or gay marriage, but it goes on and on about forgiving debt, liberating the poor, and healing the sick. The closest thing we have to the kingdom of heaven is a multiracial, multicultural democracy where power is truly shared among all people

Sees a new follow from some guy with 175k followers, but knows they also followed me like 2 weeks ago. Understand that I’m not a follow for follow kind of person, as that does nothing but inflate numbers.

That Rob Reiner stuff hit me hard last night. What a tremendous loss.

Watching Voyager’s “Prey” tonight, correctly identifying Tony Todd’s voice in the intro, and just knowing it’ll be a great episode because he’s in it.

Kinda funny that I’m working with a guy who today is wearing a “No Commies” shirt, when I told the other guy here how I’m basically a commie now.

This is why I continue to say that procedural ways will not solve this. Congress? Courts? Voting? No.

Violent, fed up people will solve this. It’s just a matter of the when and where of the breaking point.
Trump is an infirm, sundowning grifter owned by a collection of notorious criminals and it's not even a secret. If this were a functioning country we would have already ended this.

The bane of my existence right here
Waking up with a song in your head that you realize doesn’t exist and the Universe in this moment has given you the task of finishing it. Better strike while the iron is hot.

Like I’m not already on some list for this already?

I knew capitalism was shit a very long time ago, come at me.
Oh, look, just like Nixon’s enemies list from his "Political Enemies Project." They're lack of original ideas is astounding. I guess they're coming for all of us now.

Gotta say, I’m a big fan of the local sub place offering 6, 9, and 12 inch sizes. It’s too bad they don’t offer the 6 foot party subs like we had for my high school graduation party. Still just as tasty tho.

Maybe consider that there are systemic failures that lead people towards using addiction as a way to cope with said systemic failures.

What if we addressed those instead of pointing fingers and squabbling about whether this may or may not be just blatant murdering of innocent people (it is).

Mockler: They were not heading to the United States

I’m starting to heal after a week at the new job. It’ll take time, with over 20 years at the other location, but I’ll get there. It’s nice to finally move on.

This is why people running things need checks to keep them honest. They get to go and do what they want with zero repercussions, mismanaging while forcing others to clean up their mess.

Even worse when they don’t listen to good suggestions from their workers who may actually care about its success.
They fuck up in massive ways *constantly* and it never seems to catch up to them in any lasting manner, yet i'm barely getting by on everything I do. I don't get it.

Making capitalists “pay their fair share into society” means all of it. They do not produce. They own. Their fair share is nothing. Labor is entitled to all it creates. It’s important we understand this.

Any program, app, or website that asks if I’m enjoying it automatically gets a “No”.

But I come from the era where programs were made to be functional for the user, and devs just made quality things.

People want quality things, it’s not hard.
"are you enjoying duo mobile" does a hamburger enjoy being made of quarks. does a fish enjoy linear time. does the mountain enjoy the first taste of a cup of hot chocolate when you get back to the ski lodge. your question means nothing to me. i couldn't enjoy duo mobile even if i tried

I’m very excited about my job change that starts tomorrow!

- Different location and the manager is an old friend and ex-roommate

- A smaller crew, whose values and priorities are more aligned with mine

- Moved into the position I asked for 6 years ago

The 30 extra miles each way doesn’t matter.

One of the worst things in modern life, for sure. Especially when they don’t program in a Mute button.
Little TV screens at the gas station pump blaring ads directly in your face as you spend $70 on a tank of gas is enough to radicalize a person

It’s not a great day to be out on the roads. Not because of the (lackluster so far) snowfall, but everyone else is re-learning how to drive in the snow, and I’d kinda rather not deal with that.

I had a nice, long walk though. Branching out to different areas and seeing new things.
