The only one that doesn’t seem to work properly is this guy, which duplicates pipe/slash for some reason, despite it showing up this in MacOS’s key mapper and performing as it should before my screensaver kicked in. Not a biggie. Can’t say I’ve ever pressed it on purpose on any keyboard. 😄

I’ve made the hiragana key on the right of space an additional space bar in case I hit it by accident and to make section more like the length of the UK space bar. The Kanji on the right I’ve set to select UK layout, so if I accidentally change to Japanese, tapping that will go back to English.

All done! All I had to do after that is tell it in the settings that it was now a GB keyboard. It’s even swapped the functions of Control and Caps Lock so they’re in the right places and hitting Control even turns on the Caps Lock light.

It’ll always have reminders of its heritage as some, like the 1s here, are physically different shapes, so can’t be swapped.

I’d say if you still don’t like it after this place, it’s probably not the food for you. They do plenty of others too, so you don’t have to have one stuffed with garlic and whatnot like mine. 😄

This unassuming, unmarked place is Tonkatsu Hasegawa, home of the best tonkatsu I’ve ever had. Unbelievably juicy and tender. I plumped for the one with garlic, shiso & cheese inside and a crab & cheese croquette on the side £19 inc. “Sprite” that was actually Mitsuya Cider. Highest recommendation.
