Dav Pilkey is a wizard. The way his work resonates with children across three generations (!) now is nothing short of staggering, and he still always seems to fly just under the radar as a kidlit titan.
Sally Rooney's books are distinctly hit or miss with my taste. Normal People = Hit. Intermezzo = Miss. But I'm ngl I kind of like this better than just wholesale liking/disliking. Makes every book a mysterious adventure.

Super excited to have read over 60 books this year!
This is probably the most I've read for leisure at least since I was a child. When my OCD wasn't under control, reading was incredibly hard for me, and this was a big shift in terms of getting back into a hobby I used to love more than anything.
