THAT’S going to be concerning for the House GOP. They can’t rely on their local brand, their name recognition. That will blunt some of the national swings against them, but it’s going to lead to a much larger field of play in the midterms than usual. Which is bad for the incumbent party.

I wish I had access to a ballot paper for the caucus because it’s the only time I had been a candidate for anything and I had to vote against myself.

I spent a huge part of my young life working for and in support of Ron Paul. I have a lot of complicated feelings about him and Rand, but I don’t think anybody who remembers him will be surprised he opposes the GOP.
He had a lot of… ideas, to say the least. But he warned against this.
