This is my profile. Who cares?
It's a shame John Landis is such a colossal piece of shit because he's made so many movies I love, including Trading Places which is still great.

Got this at my local library. Stoked to read a multitude of excellent writers like @crobertcargill.bsky.social @joerlansdale.bsky.social @haileypiperfights.bsky.social and many many more

Was reading about how they originally wanted to have Mike turn out to be Pennywise in a draft of It: Chapter 2 but went "It strays too far from the King book." I immediately thought, 'motherfucker have you watched Welcome to Derry? That show is all sorts of straying away from the original book'

To the people (read: dipshits) who pirate books and claim it's because they are too costly to buy. Go to your local library. You not only can find a majority of the books you're looking for, you can also find movies and TV shows that you are also likely pirating cause you're an asshole.

Decided to re-read IT for Welcome to Derry (going against my usual reading of this during the summer) and boy it makes my interest in Welcome to Derry fade a bit. Like the show is just missing elements of what work in the book and the adaptations (aside from Chapter 2)

Saw a post about a new short story collection in The Shining universe accepting submissions. I think I have a story idea percolating but I'm WAY too terrified to submit. I know how bad I'd feel if (when) I'd be rejected. I'm not a writer. I ramble incoherently when I try.

I'll say this about the Sunrise on the Reaping trailer. It looks good but my lord all these tributes are looking way too well groomed. At least in the first one they were looking normal. The veneerification of Hollywood is way too powerful.

Listened to the @whmpodcast.bsky.social on Hellraiser and I was reminded of reading The Scarlet Gospels and how people taunt the character of Hell Priest by calling him Pinhead and it's Barker getting his frustrations out that the name Pinhead stuck after Hellraiser became a big franchise.

Reposting cause I didn't realize the GIF I was using in the last post had text on it. Anywho. I never finished the original Hunger Games series, I got to Mockingjay Part One but didn't watch Part Two. Debating a rewatch and then checking out the newest films.

Just saw a report that is using AI to generate videos of kidnapping victims and the correspondent said it's a "powerful use of AI". No, it's ghoulish and awful.

I've decided to do an entire franchise watch of The Pink Panther. I've never seen any in their entirety.

Listened to the latest episode of The Losers' Club Podcast and again I'm in agreement with @juliacmarchese.bsky.social on Pennywise doing something not previously established in his power set.

We have Chicken Pot Pie. Now let me clarify. Our Chicken Pot Pie is not in a pie at all. It's Chicken served with thick noodles and vegetables in a thick broth. It looks like this.

Remember when they remade The Omen and it seemed like the only reason was because Fox was like "We can release this on June 6, 2006"

I would make a terrible film critic. I got to see a movie way before the public and for free. Five stars

When someone says I have so much to offer I really have to restrain myself from laughing at them.

I know they didn't finish all of the previous films in the franchise but could the @hdtgm.bsky.social crew and @scottaukerman.bsky.social reteam for this?

Cozy mystery shows are definitely my go-to when I need a comfort watch. So I'm binge watching Elsbeth right now and it's definitely one of the coziest of cozy mysteries.

Watching the superior Star Wars film in the new trilogy. And of course I'm that much of an easy mark I laugh at the "Holding for General Hugs" scene.

It's my day off and I'm still testing positive for COVID (feeling completely fine but tests have been reading positive) so I decided to watch the two movies in the new Star Wars series (Force Awakens and Last Jedi) odd they never finished it as a trilogy.
