There was a strong feeling amongst Thatcher's opponents, that she had shown indifference to Britain's continued sovereignty, encouraging Argentina. (Ridley's essay below). Also they were withdrawing Britain's only naval vessel in the area. The war was extremely divisive in Britain. (NB "Gotcha!").

I'm all for people who work hard getting paid. But I find the cheerleader thing tacky. Thankfully they stopped the grid girl convention in F1.

In England (traditionally) a village has a church. Smaller than a village, without a church is called a "hamlet" - which is why so many place names end with "..ham". There is one near Sandwich CALLED "Ham".

He forced Bondi to put Halligan in charge and rush this fiasco. But nevertheless, she's the AG. She would resign if she had an ounce of integrity. But you are probably right. Trump will probably BLAME her for the failed prosecution when he thinks of someone stupid enough to replace with. Erm...

But ultimately Trump forced Halligan on Bondi, and so the blame belongs to Trump. But I am looking forward to Trump blaming Bondi for the position he put Bondi in, when it all goes bosoms up.

I can hardly believe that the USA and Russia draw up a "peace plan", and then give Ukraine a "deadline" to accept.
Essentially the US allying with Russia against Ukraine, to give Russia what it, a "superpower" could not gain thru force of arms.

Some years ago, some people found a metal object dumped in a field, and recognized it as the original space station model. Local kids smashed it up before it could be rescued.
