Police Scotland's efforts to simplify their approach to sex and gender data just creates a further jumble of confusion (as this evidence session is already starting to highlight).

Still unclear to me how wide this change goes e.g.

Q. If I report a crime (or am a victim of crime), am I now required to declare my biological sex?

Q. Will I be counted as gay in Police Scotland stats if I am attracted to trans men? How does this square with a biology-first approach to data?

And... so what if there actually happened to be a numerical 'over-representation' of Black people in UK TV adverts? This is not a bad thing.

Very interesting! I guess I want as little info about me on my passport as possible - can't imagine the added stress of having a border agent asking me to explain my research!

Perhaps, although I imagine you would have to submit relevant evidence/documentation during the visa application process.
