I know five is when the punishment starts. It seems that the producers were kind of a nightmare. (Suzanne, Ann, Waiting to cancel The Ropers after their return clause expired, etc)

I'm on S4.
It doesn't suffer from the loss of The Ropers (though you do miss Helen, of course) because Knotts comes on like he's been shot out of a cannon.
I have *NO* recollection of Ann Wedgeworth being on the show.
That original trio is the whole show (and so much hornier than I remember)

I love that 1978 Joan is even more scantily clad than she had been the first time around.
Good for her dot gif.

Gertrude Lawrence's funeral at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church was the hottest ticket on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1952 (Literally: tickets were available by contacting her lawyer, Fanny Holtzmann's office)
Dietrich attended, Rodgers & Hammerstein gave eulogies & Dorothy Sarnoff (OG Lady Thiang) sang.

She blocked me on here for criticizing it (we didn’t follow each other and I didn’t tag her or name her)

Her memoir was CANDID. I remember parts of it and I read it 25 years ago.
