The OC is kinda the exact right reference (with the same creative team)... That's a show I started watching ironically, and ended up genuinely loving it. The first Gossip Girl was pretty similar. This is why I'm optimistic for this.

Relatively sure any solution to this issue requires a constitutional amendment, unforts. But one hopes showing up the constitution will be a bit more of a priority in the after times.

I find the various nib and niblet varieties they offer at least a lateral move from the ropey original. Something pleasing about that form factor.

I'm an every week listener to the Extra Hot Great podcast, which was created by the editorial team of Television Without Pity some time after its NBCU buyout and subsequent shuttering. So if you count broadly "stuff for the internet" they've got you pipped by a year or two, I think.
