Colors are on a color palette to make them coherent, that's the goal for the pack - not accuracy

No no of course not, but please do wait until the game assets have been released. They'll be public domain and CC0, so by then you can do anything you wish with them (or even extend the set)

I honestly wish there was a way for me to do better tracking in this regard, but I don't want to use Google's tools. Is there some sort of open-source or self-host thing that I could use which doesn't use cookies or tracking?

There's also always value in "investing" in the more classical ways of reaching people. E-mail newsletters, RSS feeds and just having a proper website you maintain yourself

Yes, I had to defend myself in adding certain countries. I'm just working from a list of UN countries with some additionals, but people believe that I'm pushing some sort of political view

Yeah, sales and donations. I give away (most) for free and thus have to rely on a tiny percentage for donations to keep going. Having a large audience means that there's a small percentage donating, enough to keep going. I can't simply get rid of it

I honestly thought people would just take offense in the way I simplified things but I didn't expect people literally getting triggered by the sight of a flag in a pack that contains all flags...
