It was like the warm and comforting bookend on that, and a nice switch from the time that I watched Inception in theaters and realized I'd written a strikingly similar story in a series of notebooks when I was like 18 lmao 🤣🤣🤣 True story.

Not lost on me that immediately before starting the movie, my dad called to test all of my skills at setting boundaries for myself soooooooooo

Okay I understand why all my queer friends are in their feels from this film 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 What a brutal, beautiful, tragic, but also hopeful look at parents and children and generational curses 😭😭😭😭😭

I've been sexually harassed and threatened while on the job, been sent to unsafe places at night, and plenty of other scary situations. I wish more people realized what this is actually like for drivers, esp women delivery drivers.

And before you say it's bc of bad service- I've never seen someone start off with a $0 tip and then add something after the fact bc you did a good job. Last night, someone did that only after they screwed up my delivery so badly that it wasted 20 mins of my time. But never, ever, besides that.

Some places (I assume bc of unions) make sure delivery drivers make min wage. Most places don't. Sure, you might make $30 in a magical hour, but you might also make $8 for two other hours. PLEASE. TIP.

The stories I hear from delivery drivers around here- becoming a witness to a crime in a McD at night. Being assaulted. Never mind all the non-violent stuff, like customers ordering just to pretend they didn't get something & blaming you. Or giving the wrong address & expecting you to drive to them

"But doesn't everyone ti-" No. Where I live, about a solid 75% do not tip even a penny. You could bring their food to them, cut it up and feed it to them and still not get a cent. No. Most people don't tip. And car expenses are expensive. Waiting inside fast food lobbies at 10pm can become dangerous
