"Resisting arrest" is when the cop is upset about something unrelated (ex. wife was being a bitch) and you were in his line of sight

My Dinner With Andre jokes live or die on whether or not the people making them have actually seen the movie, and they frequently have not

(The Simpsons writers obviously have, as have the writers of Community)

Not sure which is sadder: still clinging to a show that nosedived hard after its first season (nine years ago) or caring so little for Palestinians that you'll tolerate multiple cast members who vocally hate them just to get another fix of the mediocre gruel they've dumped into the trough

Today, in Utah, homeowners *or renters* can simply buy a solar panel at Costco, take it home, and plug it in to a wall socket, like an appliance. It just sits there & trims about 15-20% off a residential power bill. If you move to another apt., you can take it with you.

I hate it more by the second and it will only get worse. Thanks for asking

I thought it was terrific. I'm not sure there's a show stopper on the level of "Defying Gravity," but it's a satisfying conclusion to the story that plays fair and avoids getting too cute with the inclusion of characters from The Wizard of Oz.

Passing the savings onto the people is one of those conservative canards that has never, ever been said in good faith. He wants to destroy a useful public service because that's what these people do. It's their obsession.

The way Kamala Harris talks about voters

Hell, the way the whole Democratic orthodoxy talks about voters

Yeah, there's a lot of table-setting that Star Wars would normally just sort of hint at or take care of in the opening crawl. But I also acknowledge that they were trying something new, which was seeing if they could get away with a standalone two hour Star Wars story with an all-original cast.

Rogue One has a similar structural issue to RotJ in that it takes time for it to get into the story it really wants to tell. But (again, like RotJ) it does get there, and, once it does, it bangs.

I don't really like much of the new stuff, but I'll take Rogue One and Last Jedi. I'm glad those exist.
