That’s part of it, the early obnoxious flavor text is part of it, JtMS is part of it. I know someone who hates Jace, the character, because “he ruined Standard.”

Funniest thing I ever saw on there was after I got let go from Wizards watching those dudes twist themselves into pretzels to justify why this belonged in their “grievances against white men” file
