I'm at #NIHRNottmBRC #Conference2025 (terrible hashtag) in Nottingham's Albert Hall. It seems warmer than I remember, maybe because I've sat in a different place. First talk is about PPI: public and patient involvement in research. I've fuelled up on pastries and a bacon roll.

She'd not had a great couple of days with her bust back leg but was still bright and excited at 11pm last night. Found dead in their playhouse this morning, continuing the sad November tradition :(

No reason why: NO LiveJournal emails have gone here since 2016, so why these have (when they have none of the parameters), I do not know. But it IS funny, largely because it's all the same person XD

This was, err, my first finished piece back from a 20yr art hiatus and, mmm, these two have been my obsession since. She is my OC, Ythendria, he is a friend's, Blake. We were never the interpersonal relationships sort of D&D group but, uhh, this happened... Now it's a 10+ novel equivalent story :S

These are my two late rescue bunnies, Lopsy (B&W lop, d.2021) and Aboleth (d.2019). Lopsy was a deaf idiot boy but adorable, Aboleth was a smart girl, missing an eye (removed) and had hilarious moults :) She used to go and get Lopsy at pellet time if he was too slow/stupid :D

Still the magnificent dhampir paladin sketch, but now he has black leather armour with gold spikes, a beige underjacket and trousers, a grey metal shield and sword, and brown belt around his waist.

Oh man I'm enjoying this :) #Dragons are my comfort draw and I've avoided doing them in digital so I left them to when I needed to do them and didn't frustrate myself.

Mostly @ewylana.bsky.social's work, but one of my own too: my OC Ythendria (half-elf bard) and a friend's OC Blake (dhampir paladin) from our longest D&D campaign. I'm currently writing it up so have lots of art for it :D We're not an interpersonal relationships group so this was, erm, different!
Blake carries Ythendria clear of lava. He is focussed off-picture, but she only has eyes for him. Blake comforts Ythendria in a dungeon corridor, sitting next to her with an arm around her, just as a friend. They are battered from combat but not wearing armour. Blake and Ythendria comfort each other in bed, surrounded by their nightmares Blake and Ythendria kiss (line-drawing with pencil colour, my own work). it is a close-up of their top halves.

Charging the new car as difficult as I expected! XD The BP app refused to load correctly on my phone, and the only post with a functional Type 2 had a frozen screen. Plus my chargecard hasn't arrived. Ditched it and went to the pub! Much cheaper charging, toilets, refreshments! Might do this again!

Goodbye to my 20yo car I've had for 17yrs. Scrapped today, but in a dignified manner. Owed me nothing, only really started to die properly when I'd agreed on my new one. I hope its parts keep other Corsas going for years to come.

It's our annual gaming retreat in north Nottinghamshire, and I'm writing up #DungeonoftheMadMage (still: 4yrs&counting). To my left, maps (DM & player-made), the campaign book, the Discord chat. To my right: the Roll20 chat. Maybe I should get a huge bed to work on all the time?! #writing #DnD #D&D
An enormous, almost full A4 lever-arch binder with 6 columns of text from the Roll20 chat on each page, which is also double sided. A single bed next to me, covered in papers as described. I am sitting on a single bed pushed against this one, on the kingsize duvet that goes over both (the duvet has a pattern of dragons and flowers)
