International teacher, migrant worker, loves most things French.

Bang on the nose, James. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

"Terrorism" though has a specific legal definition and if the police define an investigation as 'terrorist' it has implications for the trial process and sentencing of the accused.

I liked your view that “this is China; we’re not interested in your crap” though I’d have used stronger words…..

Which, as a history teacher, shows how shamefully subjects like history and economics have been treated by American education.

They don’t want you to question, evaluate and challenge - which is what humanities subjects are all about.

Too much of this tariff discussion centres around an assumption that Trump actually understands what he’s doing.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that, for one reason or another, he doesn’t.

She’s still disqualified even if she does, and the appeal will (I think) not be heard until after the election as the wheels of the French legal system tend to grind slowly.

I did like the way Macron cut across and corrected Trump when he was spouting nonsense about the EU’s aid to Ukraine.

I’ll happily take that compliment about my age, but unfortunately it’s wrong!

That’s just a bit like asking people who believe in fairies to run the country.

Yet bizarrely it’s the one manifesto promise they could drop which might actually make them more popular!

Which we did before (the shops just priced it differently.) However we are more restricted in how much we can bring duty paid.

Problem is that’s not the answer the Brexit nuts want to hear, nor accept.

Looking at that list, probably a packet of paracetamol, a crate of Irn Bru and a dozen bacon rolls.

Only if you want Newport and Wormit to break out in civil war.

He clearly doesn’t understand that he has just made the phrase “sniveling (sic) cretin” a badge of honour in Britain.

Oh - and Fifers in South Fife are the most in favour of keeping Fife whole. Most in NE Fife are probably at best ambivalent, if not outright in favour of separation. Places like Newport and St Andrews have little in common with High Valleyfield and Cowdenbeath.
January 7, 2025 at 1:20 PM
One change here - Leuchars, Tayport, Newport and Wormit (the current Taybridgehead ward) should go to St Andrews and East Neuk. they have more links with St Andrews than Cupar, not least that the primary schools all feed to Madras College.

He also didn’t do anything Trump wouldn’t do. Trump’s just pissed off Biden got there first.

Pulling the current series would be unfair to the contestants - particularly as they are professionals and this could be integral to their future careers.

The Christmas ones should be relegated to iPlayer though.
