One thing which is obvious after yesterday’s vote in the Commons is how little many people understand about how the Commons works.
This wasn’t a vote for assisted dying - it was a vote on the first reading of the Bill. Another 2 in HofC and 3 in HofL before it becomes law. A long way to go yet.

I have a thought about Matt Gaetz’s appointment as US AG.
What if he is actually the sacrificial lamb of Trump’s appointments - in that he’s the one Trump is least bothered about appointing?
He’s the most likely so far to be blocked by the Senate - even Trump Reps don’t like him. But could he 1/2
