The lighting doesn't quite show the purple shading I put on the sword, but it is there!

I'm pretty curious about AFF, I loved the FF books as a kid. I've heard it described as "very British" which is curious to me.

My biggest issue with the player base is the reluctance to try other games, I've only ever seen this attitude online, not in person, thankfully, so it can't be THAT pervasive.

For all the gripes I've posted about its ubiquity, I've only been playing 5e lately, one Lost Mines of Phandelver game I'm GMing on Mondays and a Tomb of Horrors game I'm playing in every other Friday.
My issue with the actual game is how it drops in difficulty with levelling up.

I've been watching a lot of Jim Henson's The Storyteller recently. I have this notion of putting some side quest in a Basic Fantasy game with a similar vibe.

The day the current reactionary movement rediscovers Garth comics will be a dark one indeed.

1. I like a bit of whimsy. Seems a shame they were genocided in the new canon.

3. Perhaps, mostly by reactionaries, but he was no friend to radicals either.
4. The only UK comics from the seventies I've read were some Daily Mirror comics, not good lady representation.

We were also playing with all non-binary players, so we decided to roll for game gender since that matters a surprising amount.

If I left reviews, I would probably do this too.

We decided a Wizard can't charm someone else's monster, which would have prevented them from winning but in fairness, the rules seem pretty clear, I wasn't fighting it and it does say 'you charm a monster you're fighting'

I kinda had to as my crappy eleven foot pole (+1 two-handed) was cursed, and I was in dire need of a new weapon.
