Just another Edmontonian
I’d love to see improved MUP crossings. The city can’t build 5A infrastructure if they ignore the most dangerous locations.

On the flip side an article that highlights how e-motos are not the biggest issue right now.

“No one wants to shop here cause the slight hill makes it unpleasant” yes that is definitely the main issue.

I can’t see it working without a scramble. Maybe it will have a dedicated bike interval?

It’s so frustrating seeing pedestrian/cyclist paint worn out. It always takes so long for the city to fix and you know it’s all done by drivers.

Yeah I’m not sure why they are bagged over. The beg button still works but I had to look at the traffic lights.

The joys of having a leading pedestrian interval with right on red.

The parks in that area are oversized and underused… but redevelopment there would be even less popular.

Not sure what the site is being used for.

And of course the NIMBYs are using dangerous driving as an excuse to block the project. Doesn’t that mean it’s them causing the problem?

That whole area needs a 132 ave style redesign.

That area absolutely could handle extra traffic even without the LRT.

The road is built for like 80 km/h but is a 30 km/h park zone. It’s never even 10% full.

I don’t know how much impact it has but you can report dangerous intersections on the 311 app (oddly only for MUPs).

The main problem is that the standards just aren’t good enough.

Will the new traffic safety team be able to enforce all of these traffic infractions?
November 21, 2025 at 2:16 PM
I tossed those up to NIMBYism. That area seems to be swarming in Save Yeg signs

It also looks like Knack won the area where the Capital line is going out past the Henday. Voters reward LRT expansion.

So where did Cartmell win?

Areas with restrictive covenants and car dependant suburbs.
