Our traditional reliance on “trust” is, in fact, a misallocation of risk. Inspired by Zero Trust, this post reframes trust itself: people should not be forced to wager blind faith; they should enjoy the freedom to choose, under transparent mechanisms, when—and to what extent—to trust.

Authors, editors, reviewers, and other potential users should use CONSORT 2025 when writing and evaluating manuscripts of randomized trials to ensure that trial reports are clear and transparent.
