HEALTHCARE NOT WARFARE! There are several ‘calls to action’ responding to Pete Hegseth’s planned visit to BIW on Monday. Sagadahoc Indivisible is coordinating action that includes Brunswick, Harpswell, and Lincoln County Indivisibles, along with The Audacity from Rockland, the Midcoast Youth Activists (who did such a terrific job last week!) and the Community Organizing Alliance of Lewiston. Feb 9, Mon 12-3PM - Bath Meet at the base of the Sagadahoc Bridge, Bath, Maine To say NO to Hegseth's Warmongering! CARPOOLING and PARKING Parking in Bath is likely to be an issue. We strongly encourage carpooling. Finding space in Bath may take some time and may require a bit of a hike. Those with spare seats in their car please gather at the following times and places to carpool with others: - Waldoboro Park and Ride on Route 1, 10:45 am - The 2nd Congregational Church, Newcastle pkng lot, 11:00 am - The Railroad Avenue parking lot in Wiscasset, 11:15 am In Bath, quite a bit of the available street side and parking lot parking is limited to two hours. A request is being made to the city for a moratorium on longer stays. If this is not granted, the best bet for longer term appears to be to come down off the bridge onto Front Street, take the first right on Lambard Street, and then left on Commercial Street which has opportunities for 4-hour parking. The number of available spaces is limited. As you get further from the commercial center of Bath, there is additional street side parking, including up Washington Avenue.
