Ilia starts out a very faithful Andrastian and ends up disillusioned. Deconstruction is rough on her. She knew the chantry needed reform, but it was worth reforming because she KNEW there was a Maker, and now she's just...not sure of anything. She doesn't feel free; she feels alone 😭

I recruited him late because I didn't realize he was going to be a companion, and I expected him to be kind of mid 😭 I liked his beard but I thought he seemed too old (😭) and boring (⁉️) for Ilia. Then he was so fucking charming that he derailed all my plans for the game (and the rest of my life tbh)

It was a shocking revelation for her demi ass, because she hadn't felt that way about anyone in an extremely long time. And then, of course, he pushes her away, so it takes a while for them to actually end up together, even though they both know how they feel.

Ilia fell in love over months of late night campfire chats and early morning sparring sessions. She didn't realize it was happening until the night Haven was attacked, and she knew she wouldn't be as afraid to lose him as she was if she hadn't started seeing him as more than a friend. 👇

Mostly she feels overwhelmed. She really believes she's been chosen by the Maker to do something important, and she doesn't believe she deserves it or that she can live up to the titles she's given. I don't think she would call herself a hero, but she is aware history will probably call her one.

2) she is the opposite of graceful - always tripping over her own feet, trying to climb things she shouldn't (and then falling), ending up covered in little scrapes and bruises
(pls no one tell me ballet doesn't exist in thedas; I need it to)

Ilia uses a greatsword (because she originally learned using her older brother's sword that was too big for her) and always runs right into the middle of the action (giving Blackwall more grey hairs every time she does)
