Had the new shower and all the new light fixings put in yesterday. The shower is amazing and the lights all look so good but in my rush, I ordered the wrong colour (vintage) bulbs for downstairs so we’re currently stuck in the 1970s until the right ones turn up.

Just accidentally liked a photo from someone I don’t follow whilst scrolling and after cringing myself inside out, decided to leave it there because it was a lovely happy photo and so I’m standing by my like. And I’m not a creep, promise.

Cleared out our spices today and there were only two out of date ones which I was actually quite impressed by. Flipside, they were dated 2017 so I’m blaming the shelf being too high for me to easily reach, let alone read BB dates without my old lady glasses.

My friend’s son died this morning, 26 years old, heart attack. He and my daughter had been friends since reception and he was the Joseph to her Mary who took the baby Jesus and held him properly when Mary was so embarrassed by everyone looking at her…..

To add to my comments yesterday about Cher not being a morning dog, today was the first time we’ve gotten up at 5:30 in almost two weeks. Ms. Ma’am was really not into it lol. Immediately after breakfast she’s back in her deep sleep pose lol.

Just grabbed some sewing scraps to throw them in the bin, forgetting I’d put some brand new but wonky sewing pins in it which then got stuck in the palm of my hand and now I’m sitting here with a hot wheels plaster (don’t ask) on my terrible injury and wondering how my life took this turn.

Don’t worry gang, no one actually starts their New Year’s resolutions on the 1st. And you’d be silly to begin on a Friday, best save it for Monday. But Monday is the 5th so you’ve kind of missed the boat anyway and can safely put it off for next year.

The last time I went out out on NYE was 2019. We went out for lunch & a few drinks, intending on being in for tea and a nice film. Instead we had such a good time that we rolled in at 4am the next morning, I had numb toes from my heels and a chipped nail or two. I think I’d die if I tried that now 😆
