manufactured complexity vs strong base game at its finest, the teamups are the best example imo where they tried so hard to make fun comp building but ended up making it too straightforward instead of allowing natural synergy to be discovered

in comparison it took me like 1000 hours of splatoon 3 to find stamper and even after over another 1000 i still feel like theres so much more to learn about the game despite how simple the actual mechanics are

honestly this is kinda the exact thing i felt when rivals came out and i gave it a try, it took me like 20 hours to find a character that i felt fit me and then a few more to hit gold, and at that point all motivation to keep playing or improve felt like it was gone because there was no more depth

i love how its not just x1.5 as well, its plus + minus to fit in with the design its so perfect when they couldve been boring without any complaints

the more clips in a match the more likely itll be a win, and the more you clipfarm the more youll get clips, clipfarming should be called winfarming actually

being a sword onetrick i notice the skills transfer between weapons wayyy more than people tend to make it out to be, for example whenever i sub in for a team in a scrim and am needed on something like pen or dualie (generally anything more supportive) it shows just how fake static roles are lmao
