Based out of New Taipei, Taiwan.
Writes fantasy sci-fi as Ekaterine Xia.
I am enjoying this far too much because in Chinese, emperor and the emperor to be often refers to himself as 孤 OR 寡人, literally “I who am alone” and the juxtaposition is delicious.

Feels like it would be cute if she turned teeny tiny and lives in a microscopic coral house and gets WIFI by tapping into the undersea internet cables.
Could always do both.
Okay, I want to do both, but how do you write being something without a brain? Yes, I know plants are "alive" and feel pain.

You know all those fancy historic portraits of important people? The artist whose name is on it probably didn't paint the whole thing. There were workshop members who specialized in things like painting fabric textures. Some poor slobs spent their whole lives painting the sheen on velvet.

Always happy to do anything to give the middle finger to Bezos, yeah.

It's ass backwards to say, as a writer, you honed this very specific skill, but now you have to also give good camera.

And like any other inequity, it magnifies existing biases and prejudices.

….I am exhausted and just want to know if there is any actual point (outside of boycotting) to pulling our books immediately.
I suspect they have already fed everything to AI already.
Boycotting is a great reason, to be clear.

With no TJ, I make my own now from Costco garlic 😄 but it is A Bit of labor.
I do the “smack garlic with knife to peel” then dump it all into a mini food processor.
The good news is that it usually lasts me long enough I can gather enough spoons for the next round before running out.

Good god my friend. You got SO much done. So much Extremely Cool Stuff too!

It’s not ideal but tbh I wasn’t convinced with the shoddy job Three did originally that they could adequately fix the issue.
So it might be a good thing after all if we have to pull in someone else.
Would just need to spend $$ money on the fix now when originally this was Three’s thing to get right.

I’m not blaming Dad btw 😄 I should’ve known better; I just forgot for a moment.
It’s just that now the third party is pissy too and tbh I don’t want to deal with it on top of trying to solve the problem.
It sucks but we might need to get a fourth party in to solve the problem 🤷🏻‍♀️

That is mostly my take on waste and compost tbh.

…I mean, no reason 99% of recipes have you peel the garlic in recipes is there!
December 8, 2025 at 5:46 PM
🤷🏻‍♀️ “no waste”.
Dude. I thought “using garlic skins and onion skins for stock” was the height of frugality but I guess I was wrong.
My personal opinion is wasting all that time and labor is more of a waste than chucking the garlic skins but I get Costco garlic.

By decent amount I mean “any hint of garlic” idk.
My experience with garlic tells me 1. The skins have little to no flavor 2. dehydrating the skins in the oven will only vaporize what flavor IS there 3. You’re gonna have to plaster that powder on, but she’s saying this with such conviction.

It IS a white woman presenting this hack so…
I just imagine I would have to coat my food in a few layers of that stuff to get any decent amount of garlic flavor.
I say, as someone who regularly eats raw garlic in soy sauce as a dipping sauce.
