In 2016, discouraged and ashamed of my country, I wrote a book—a playful, silly book that made me laugh.

In 2025, discouraged and ashamed of my country once more, I hope it makes you laugh too.

I finished “Confessions of a Justified Sinner” by James Hogg and WOW what an incredible novel. I easily see how it inspired Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

And oh how it made me long to walk in Scotland again.

Me: Authors shouldn’t involve themselves with reviews. The reviewers are for the readers. It’s best to ignore them.

Also me: aw this review hurt my feelings

Buy my book so I can fund my cini minis from Burger King obsession.

They are quite literally my reason for getting up in the morning. (My job is THAT BAD.)

I say this without any “we told you so” or insults to her character…

What makes anyone look at that ugly crude caricature of a cartoon villain Donald Trump and think that he’s trustworthy? That he cares about anything other than himself?

I’ve been asking this since 2015.

The 19th century novel“The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner” by James Hogg is quite an effective warning on the dangers of ChatGPT.

It didn’t go far enough. It never went far enough.
Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

I walk through a very lovely park on my lunch hour that overlooks Powell’s Cove Bay and on the rocks I noticed this prayer journal sitting on the rocks. Curious, I flipped through it. And my heart broke for this person.

Could you take a moment to pray for them?

A pair of siblings are on the train today, the brother scribbling out a comic strip with very neat lines in his notebook. I was sad his sister was scrolling her phone until I realized she had pulled up an image that her little brother was sketching.

This is why I’m against AI.
