Currently, Tokyo. Kagawa is always in my ❤️
I enjoy reading, cooking, & long walks.
I thought Spinelli sported it, too, but I was mistaken.

Sayonara, Apato-san! We had a good couple years together, & you will be missed. Good bye, 風の花~ And farewell to my wonderful landlords there 🥲

The font they're using for the Japanese release of Project Hail Mary is neat in how it emulates the English font.

I really enjoyed this book, and I hope the movie is equally great. I think it'll be more of a challenge to adapt than The Martian was.

Bisharp is laughing at how dusty my apartment is with all the furniture moved out 😭

Incredibly disheartened to see a local ramen place is closing down. I only started going recently & it's great! Everything beautifully cooked with a fish-based broth. Sometimes the lines were long—this was a fancy but affordable local spot—but I guess not long enough often enough.

Casa Brutus has a pretty neat article on Mario Bros. and design. They cover questions about stages, enemies, and gameplay, as well as the Nintendo Museum & history of the franchise.

An album that came out when I turned 16...
There were a couple good ones, but I'll go with one I actually purchased at the time.

You know a whisky is great with a name like Wormtub. This was a gift from a friend when he crashed at my place and my word was it heaven in every sip! I don't spend on whisky like I used to, so a treat like this is rare & exceptional.

Met my girlfriend's parents' cats. They are very pretty & very sweet. They hissed occasionally but were never aggressive; it was a "not now" or "I'm a bit uncomfortable," and later they'd come over & say "hi" again when they were ready. Their names are Mei-chan and Sora.

Took pictures of a few more, including aforementioned alien deer.

An art high school has an exhibit up in Sapporo Station, and the work is fantastic. These are all pretty big, & the subject matter is hilarious 😆 This giant electric bear attacking Sapporo as animals & people flee in terror was my favorite, though a runner-up was deer aliens invading & taking over.

Went to Royce Cacao & Chocolate Town in Hokkaido today. It was interesting learning about the harvesting & processing, along with the company's history. And we did a thing where we got to make our own chocolate bar. A good trip with a date or friends! Great for omiyage.

So in Discord, you can't change your login e-mail if you lose access to your old one? That's... annoying.

Not a bad night for a walk.

We spent 2 hours looking around, so this is just a teeny tiny example of some of the categories of things to see.

Went to the Hokusai exhibit running until the end of November at Creative Museum Tokyo in Kyobashi. I've seen a lot of his work over the years, but had no idea how incredibly prolific he was, or that he was basically drawing comics in the early 1800s. It's an amazing exhibit that I highly recommend!

Google how dare you put up a Pac-Man game when I need to be packing to move. Less AI in my searches, more this, please.

I've known there were tacos a little over 3km away in Kodaira, Tokyo, but put off going until now when I'm moving. Of course, it's great! Tacos Mercado is highly recommended. The fish was good & the al pastor even better. Remember, never wait to try new tacos!

I'm not THAT attached to the White House, but it does feel like if you demolished part of a museum. If anyone is behaving like an invading force...

It's gray out, yet it's still a pretty nice day. I think I'm a little wistful because I'm moving out of this neighborhood.

Finished the audiobook of Aidan Moher's /Fight, Magic, Items/, & I really recommend it to anyone with an interest in the history of video games. The topics & games feel carefully chosen with a good sense of how everything ties together. Now, I need a print version to go thru w/ a highlighter.
