GM: Okay! Moth gains access to the lab’s power system and cuts the line to the automated turrets. They all deactivate. Moth: “Philomel could sing no sweeter song.” GM: However because that roll was a conflict, I think I want to introduce a narrative complication here. I think all the security is on the same circuit and designed to fail safe. When you cut the breakers to the turrets, all the doors in the complex seal shut and can’t be opened. Moth: Oops. GM: If you want to get around now, you’ll either have to figure out how to cut through reinforced security doors or use the vents. Sasha: Don’t worry everyone! I’m sure the vents are perfectly safe.

GM: Now you're inside the medical lab, what do you do next? Fatima: I approach the rank with the green liquid, and see if I can make out what's inside. GM: The tank is murky, but you wipe away a layer of grime from the glass. A serpentine form witness within, clearly responding to your proximity. You think this is a living version of the creature you found earlier. Beth: "Oh cool! Let me look!" Fatima: "Be careful. We're still not sure what killed those mercs earlier." Beth: "I will, don't worry." Are there any controls? Is the tank connected to anything? GM: There are some wires coming from the back of the tank, which connect to a chunky terminal. It seems to be operational. Beth: I want to access the terminal and see if it has any more information about this creature. The scientists here must have been studying it. GM: Go for it! The security alert is still active, so make a roll to find out what information you can access.
