Another great idea! I have so much extra Christmas stuff. I will do the same. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was teaching my college class about empathy this week — how fiction builds empathy in us as we immerse ourselves in characters' experiences. I have never connected to a character's panic & determination like I did to Wynona Ryder's character in Stranger Things when her young son went missing.

So true. But I didn't cook this meal, so he didn't hover during prep. And Nana is here so he knows she is far more likely to share her Swiss with him.

We don't dine in anymore. But I just clarified in case people thought the Swiss had fancy new tablecloths 🤣

But then where do the boomers eat in Vancouver? 🤣

That is so very sad 😔

Deck the halls with festive specials.... fa la la la la la la la la.

I am grateful to have it at home! It took 1.5hrs to get our order. The parking lot and restaurant were absolutely full. I have zero desire to eat there tonight.... but I am happy to enjoy it at home before I tackle decorating the Christmas tree.

I love programs like that. Everyone wins, including the planet.

I had an early dose as infant because we were moving to Africa. But that one didn't count. So then I got another one at the right time as a child. Then my baby brother had measles and I spiked a fever, so counts as infection? Then I got a booster during outbreak in 1990. Should be good 😆

I kept asking my physician about this because so many people I knew had their titres checked and needed a booster. It was hard to imagine that one dose was covering people for life.

Everytime my best friend comes home from the US, we have to get the festive special. Sometimes she calls and just wants to know if I've had it yet and how it was. It's a big deal to us. 🤣🥰 Is it good? I don't know. Is it special? YES.

Wasn't meant to be an excuse. I'm not happy at all.

Yes! I recently visited Kenya and so much had changed in the 13 years since I was last there. Solar power transformed the countryside. No more loud stinky generators. Lights in villages at night. Amazing. So why is it so difficult for me to access inexpensive solar panels in Canada?

See? You know exactly what I am talking about!
