I kinda think the discord drama is being blown out of proportion by reactionary people who are panicking. The new rules feel like a way of protecting children from dangerous individuals, and the recent leak only seemed to spread information of SAID dangerous individuals.

So, there is a corn based plastic out there that is biodegradable, and it's just slightly more expensive to set up manufacturing for. What if we just set up more facilities for that? Biodegradable chip bags, soda bottles, card packs, food storage, etc.

At the end of the day I'll always love mtg at heart, but it's clear the game isn't for people who actually like mtg anymore, along with the cost being more gatekeeping than ever, I just can't bring myself to reinvest that time and energy. Plus mtg scalpers are almost as bad as pokemon scalpers.

I've kept any bulk cheaper stuff for my mtg collection, and I am keeping at least a WUBRG Golos deck (recreating my magnum opus... It'll take YEARS and like $3000), and my Azami wizards tribal. That one is pretty cheap for mtg (still like $350), and I had duplicates of most of the deck.

I'm a pacifist to a fault, and idealistically, no one else would have to die to end this conflict. However, I'm not a dumbass.
Perhaps locking them in prison until they died of "natural causes" would be through enough of a lens that people wouldn't feel responsible for their deaths.

Fascism will fail. It always does. It's a short sighted plan of action to put a bandaid on what they see as a problem. One that will naturally reoccur, even if they manage to choke it out now. Their struggles are futile, ours are not.

I don't like how they are killing us and terrorising us, and everyone's response is, "take their job away and put them in timeout". Seems too lenient for their crimes. We should hold them appropriately accountable for their actions.

Anyways, I did a bit more ygo fanart! Really reveling in the fact that the whole "make 1 stars strong" to win strategy is ACTUALLY a viable deck now. The whole Triangle Power deck showed the potential, but was always a bit jank to set up, and now the little critters get their chance to pop off. :)

Why memetics are so important to ME is... I've always been a little 'different', which has made communication difficult through words. I think, to some extent, most folks want to be understood, so finding a way to communicate in a way that anyone could understand has been a life goal of mine.

So while memes are a part of my research, when I say I study "memetics", what I REALLY mean are, "things that convey information outside of traditional communication". Such as, paintings! If one looks at Starry Night, they may become filled with emotion, thought. It's telling them something.y
