The white ginger lily (Hedychium coronarium) in my garden has burst into bloom. It's nearly as tall as me, w/several feisty hummingbirds dividing time between devouring delicious nectar & challenging eachother to duels. My little sword-faced dudes, there's enough to go around, really!

Photos of a gorgeous, large (approx. 5ft long) non-venomous black racer snake I caught sight of right before it completely obscured itself behind this stone. A good reminder to keep situational awareness when out & about.

Wasps can make such beautiful nests (& paper ones especially if they find and collect various rainbow-coloured bits). Here's one I found nestled in a tree. Can't help but admire their skill!

On the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday (one of the loveliest places on Earth), two men passed me carrying a bottle of wine. As I photographed the misty horizon, they strolled up & settled down to picnic next to a lone tree on the quiet hillside. One single moment in time where everything was perfect. 🌈
