Big fan of this KanjiTalk 6 aesthetic. The brutalist sparseness of System 6 before they added the little 3D touches and proper color icons, and the uncomfortably oversized fonts used to fit the detail needed to show readable Kanji causing everything to feel a bit cramped and misaligned.

I keep using their bug reporter to report issues with their operating systems but they've never once gotten back to me about any fixes!

well, I think it’s more or less OK to release. you may have issues on your hardware, but these patched TBXIs at least try to boot whatever you throw at it, 7.5 onwards up to whatever it’s supposed to boot…

very hacky and your mileage may vary, but now you too can try to boot 7.5 or 7.6 or 8.1 […]

I literally have to count out the month names on my fingers since for a decade+ I have lived in a world of Japanese dates (numbered months) and SQL timestamps 😭

A photo of what appears to be an external harddisk standing on a desk, but it is labeled IO-DATA LANDISK, revealing that it is a NAS. It has a row of green LEDs on the front for Status, Access and 5 different drives (numbered HDD, 1,2,3,4). There are buttons for power, select, eject and copy. The case has gray sides and a black plastic strip around the perimeter.

the system enabler in chrp 7.6 has a version check in boot3

by patching out the version check you can potentially go lower

search for `0C 50 07 60 65 08 08 38 00 02 0B 20` replace with `0C 50 07 60 4E 71 08 38 00 02 0B 20`
