I am the best philosopher. Browse my stacks; i promise you won't be bored.
I was censored for telling people not to interfere with a suicide as " incitement", so i'll be moving on permanently. Check Substack.
...which is most likely, you're stunting your progress. Learning is the process of closing your mind; discovering necessary truths and relying on them as a foundation for higher understanding. The default belief for any contention ought to be disbelief until theres something to validate.

Y'all are trying really hard to convince yourselves that the unproven and to all appearances unprovable are playable and ought to be taken seriously. That is the Cult of Open-mindedness and it's epistemologically bankrupt. As long as you keep your mind open to every possibility instead of that...

So the Chinese government isn't serious about philosophy. More the shame.

Until there's replicable evidence, all ideas are indistinguishable from fiction and ought to be treated as such. Otherwise you're picking and choosing based on feelings rather than evidence.
x might exist. That's irrelevant for all intents and purposes.

Some people like to call the totality of evidence an assumption. I can't even.

Actuality - the universe as it is beyond the perception of a mind
Reality - a filtered version in a mind

A simulation with no replicable evidence of underlying computational machinery is indistinguishable from not a simulation. There must be at least one real world in which a simulation can occur, but there's no such default necessity of a simulation.

Science is rigor.
Logic is a sub-set of science; rigorous relationships that always replicate.

Math is a sub-set of logic; relationships exclusively of quantity.
Quantity is dividing something into equivalent parts and giving them ordered symbols.

Epistemology is how we know what we know, trivial realism is the general Bayesian prior. I see no incompatibility there.

Empirical knowledge is statistical probability; a measure of the upper limit of uncertainty.

As for Gödel's theorum, i believe it deconstructs to "the universe is infinite".

Gnosis an epistemological category error. There are two basic forms of intuition. The mundane is a mere feeling, which contains no evidence about reality. The other is expertise so practiced as to be subconscious. The latter provides knowledge and wisdom. The former cannot.

If you're in easy driving distance i'll bring you a few things for smashing.

Woo is untestable forces claimed to have real effects. Until they can be replicated they're indistinguishable from fiction. Replication is the foundation of both kinds of justification for a belief; empirical probability and logical necessity.
November 19, 2024 at 7:07 AM
Truth in any ultimate sense and what we can know to be true are separate questions. Knowledge is justified belief sufficient to accept a particular fact or take a particular action. Science is rigor. Logic is relationships that always replicate, and as close to Truth as we can get.

Even fiction isn't creative in the sense of something actually new, it's always just a remix.

Truth is whatever continuously replicates. What you call assumption is literally that which best explains All available evidence. #TrivialRealism

Requiring credentials eliminates my coherent set of answers to everything in metaphysics and thereby proves ( evidence sufficient to convince a rational skeptic ) they aren't serious about philosophy.
