I was watching a Godot tutorial today. It was good! But it ended in an AI-generated anime woman speaking the outro.
The creator defended this in the comments. They would continue to use AI art.

FINALLY, after almost 3 WEEKS, the main fun of the game is complete. Man, it's satisfying to see the kobolds spread >:)

Pathfinding polish today! I fixed a bug where kobolds would sometimes go towards the world origin for no reason too...
All of the attack code is written but it's super buggy rn so even though attacks are attempted none of them seem to work :v

Kobolds are smarter now. I want them to perform a little more flanking and check for other kobolds that are targeted onto the same human as them, but I might keep pathfinding scope here for now lol
Gotta move onto more gameplay stuff :v

Got kobolds running around after humans! >:)
Took a lot of time trying to figure out Godot's processing patterns.
If a function is called every frame, it seems to not process? I'm not sure why that's happening but eh, I'll figure it out.

Okay, so I DID spend another day working on the NPC AI, BUT it's at the point now where I find it super mesmerizing to watch them all sort into their attack positions.
NOW I'll throw some chaos into the mix by moving the kobolds ;)

It may not look too different to yesterday but I have a much smarter algorithm for determining flank position for these NPCs now.
It's still pretty basic but it's enough for this jam I think.
I think tomorrow it's time to start moving kobolds

Spent a whole heap of time today just trying to process how this behaviour system is all going to slot together.
I feel like I'm building a very complex engine, and a lack of focus could really mess me up down the line.
