*In 1981 postal workers went on strike for 41 days, demanding that women should not suffer financial hardship because they are the ones in society who bear children. CUPW was the first national union to win maternity leave rights - setting a standard across the country which ended up with a national maternity/parental leave program through Employee Insurance.

So many cats in my feed!

I’ve been thinking back to when Stella and max were wee kittens. Orphaned at 4 weeks. By 8 weeks Stella was underweight and not doing so great. Pics from way back!

She sits on my legs, I am sitting on tile with my legs crossed. I’m wearing grey plaid pants She is looking upwards interested in me.

The kittens have been reunited after two weeks apart and played and played until they crashed. Stella is on the left, she is curled up in a circle. You can see her black cap. Her right leg is stretched out over Max’s right and left paw. Her head is tilted to the left. Max is on the right, his head tilted to the right. His ears and cap are black. He has a crooked black moustache and his nose appears dark pink (it is dark pink with a black outline, as he matured it turned black). His right leg is tucked next to his sister with the paw coming out under his sister’s right leg. His left leg sticking out over the throw but under his sister’s right leg. He is somewhat curled up. His back and tail are black, his legs, belly and sides are white.

This is a puddle of kittens who are very tired.

Due to viruses and bacteria our dog is bored. She’d like a walk. Couch time will have to do for now.

We went up to my dad’s for the first time in years. Our dog made a new friend in their dog.

We went to a rescue and got THE BEST DOG EVER! Seriously, the staff at our vet office even think so. It’s all about training. That being said my partner was adamant we not get a German shepherd mix and of her identifiable breeds German shepherd is up there. But she’s mostly a super mutt.
