Amazing day today at the National Portage Association development day. I learned a lot, talked to some every day heroes and heard about some fantastic research. If you don't know what Portage is please look it up. Making a difference to children and families every day 🙌

I think it's important to remember and celebrate all the small differences that ordinary people can make. We can all find ways to be kind and supportive to others in our own contexts. ♥️

Indulge me. Aren't these (or are these not if you're posher that I am) the most aesthetically pleasing boots you have seen in a while? [I accept I'm a bit weird but hey ho]

January 2017 I was scared. That pales into all significance in light of recent events. #USA I implore you - please do what you can. He seeks to serve himself and no one else. (I'll leave it up to you if I'm talking about #Trump or #Musk)

Don’t just say DEI as if it’s a bad word. Spell it out.

Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation.

Say equity, which a just society should pursue.

Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.

Absolutely stunned that the Sunday blues is a thing. Thought it was just weird ol' me - been living with them for nearly 30 years now. Good to know I'm just mubble-fuddled
Word of the day is one I mention often. To have the ‘mubble-fubbles’, in the 16th century, was to experience a fit of despondency or low spirits - another name for the Sunday blues.

Typical! My first post on here that has generated any kind of notice and I was blighted by the autocarrot! Obviously that should have said Gove not Grove 😂
By far my favourite bit of this article: "someone called Michael Grove"
Farage would have us believe that he's hugely popular with young men.

Seems that young people have a rather different view on the matter.

Private schools attended by Kemi Badenoch’s top team have over half a billion £ in reserves.

E.g. Millfield School, which has more than £55 mill in its coffers. It has an equestrian centre with nearly 30 full-time staff members & stables for 90 horses, as well as a shooting range and a golf course.
