Blacklist Microsoft’s jobs. Let them die when they will need workers to try to catch the competitors. Microsoft does not worth it. Just let them die.

« I am not confident. […] It should not be [decided by] the persons who know the technology… »

I never imagined to say that before, but thanks Bill Gates.
Finally a famous tech person in California who clearly expressed its doubts… it was time.

Meredith Whittaker is one of the smartest and most articulate leaders in tech I’ve ever seen, and I suspect that her thoughts on agentic AI and the like have more brain cells behind them than all of the rest of Silicon Valley combined.
Worth a watch:

Head of Signal, Meredith Whittaker, on so-called "agentic AI" and the difference between how it's described in the marketing and what access and control it would actually require to work as advertised.

This woman has way more brain cells than all other CEOs of Silicon Valley. Maybe you should listen to her @wired.com instead of interviewing dumb people who just want to sell their products… just saying…

Yes! Finally a good news for data sovereignty in France.
Data sovereignty is of course important but ditching this shitty Microsoft stack is also very important too.

I can’t find an argument to defend that.
It is not even at the level of a junior UI/UX level at its bachelor defense.
So much money thrown out of the window…

Just finished « Still wakes the deep » and it was not bad at all!
Maybe a bit too long (or too repetitive) but the sound and visual environment was amazing.
The horror atmosphere (mixed of Amnesia and Lovecraft) was great too.
A good moment, well done #ChineseRoom and #SumoDigital

Limited Run Games refutes accusation it violated GPL in Tomba! Special Edition despite violation proves… unfortunately #PCSX is not the only #GPL project they ripped-off, as a core from #Mednafen (GPL again) has been used for the remastered version of #ClockTower.

Amateurs.
Almost as amazing is that four hours after this post, the hacked updates are still there.
Scoop: The databases powering DOGE.gov are insecure, and people outside the government have already pushed their own updates to the site to prove it:

Blocked at the last stage of the #googleio 2025 puzzle… and the app has reset all my progression when I came back.

At least, even with the flu, I am not so bad at solving puzzles…

Hum. #Flutter is really nice! Works well on multiple platforms, and #Dart is really cool to use.
Pretty cool framework to handle multiple platforms using one language and one setup.

The comparison is a bit unfair as Aaron Swartz has downloaded the documents from an open network that did not require any authentication, otherwise I agree that evil people are not punished.
Fuck Zuck.
Meta illegaly downloaded 80+ terabytes of books from LibGen, Anna's Archive, and Z-library to train their AI models.

In 2010, Aaron Swartz downloaded only 70 GBs of articles from JSTOR (0.0875% of Meta). Faced $1 million in fine and 35 years in jail. Took his own life in 2013.
