Lawmakers nationwide can lower power bills by cutting utility profits, rewarding the companies for boosting efficiency, and unleashing solar and storage.

Governor Newsom has a bill on his desk to hold utilities accountable, and get them to stop passing along their dark money campaigns to everyday Californians.

Is he going to side with utilities, or side with the public and help lower electricity rates?

Tonight was a HUGE WIN for Local Law 97, NYC’s “Green New Deal” law. It’s the world’s most-important city-level climate/jobs law.

The real estate lobby hates it. Cuomo was going to try and gut or weaken it, as he tried as Governor. Mamdani is a big supporter.

Read this thread to learn why.

TLDR: As Governor, Cuomo *already tried* to wreck NYC's Local Law 97, our landmark climate and jobs law, by overriding it. Plus, corruption & incompetence. #DoNotRankCuomo
