I am heartbroken to learn that Rep. Hòa Nguyễn has passed away. She always had a passion for fighting for her community, fighting for youth – representing her district in a way that gave voice to people who didn’t traditionally have a voice.
Today we held a moment of silence in her honor.

I’m looking forward to attending the upcoming El Grito Portland celebrations beginning Sunday, and acknowledge the fear federal immigration policies are causing that could impact attendance.
