Yeah, Reagan was because of his advanced age and Alzheimer’s. Biden did not. Most presidents beyond those three haven’t been old enough to need one.

Johnson paints a lovely picture of a church in crisis. Its past is bloody, pedophilic, and rife with corruption. It can be tempting to lean into those failings and pretend they’re only what’s necessary for survival (putting up your fists) or you can acknowledge you’ve done wrong and push past it

I would argue there are no Catholics in countries that weren’t in at least some small way brutalized by the Church, but I think that’s an extension of the themes. Jud did wrong and is a flawed person. Just like the church. That doesn’t mean that good works can’t still be done by him.

You’re flatly taking “offensive” out of context. She said calling a group of people you disagree with “demonic” is offensive, not that the argument made in the paper is offensive. It is offensive (and bad writing) because it’s plainly ad hominem and useless in the assignment’s context.

It’s so frustrating and clearly an example of something in the story happening because the plot needed it to happen.

It was also only worth 25 points, which will likely make little difference in the grand scheme of your grade which further suggests that this is a bad faith attempt at getting a minority fired. Most reasonable students would be grumpy but let it go. This was intentional
