A lot of the infrastructure for one of the world's top oil producers is on fire. Or was recently on fire. In any other time in my life that would make oil prices skyrocket. Not today.

It's not just the AI sociopaths pushing the idea that we need data centers. The oil and gas industry desperately wants us to believe we need them and must power them with gas.

Cheniere is the biggest US LNG exporter. Their stock is also down year to date. And now they are facing at least five years of a global oversupply that will drive the whole US export business into selling at a loss.

Meanwhile, US LNG exporter Venture Global's stock is down about 65% this year and they owe around $45 billion and the company is worth $18 billion. Tough to get out of that spot.
