Extremely peaceful in Pasadena today. Highlights included the whole crowd singing America the Beautiful in front of City Hall & watching a stranger help patch up the skinned knee of a man who stumbled on the pavement. Love of country & love of neighbor were both on full display.

I happen to think the fact that emergency departments will treat everyone including the unhoused and undocumented is one of the most truly Christian things we do in America.

I find it sad that our president doesn’t mind being racist. I find it absolutely heartbreaking that a large percentage of our country doesn’t mind either.

The average person didn’t need Jesus to get in their face and call them a sinner. The religious elite were already doing that plenty.
If you want to be hated the way Jesus was hated, stand in solidarity with the marginalized and oppressed.

I wasn’t looking for this, it’s just one random comment that represents the harmful dissociation linked to hyper vigilant end times theology. God made a good creation. Jesus joined in solidarity with humanity. This world matters to God and it should matter to us.

Many of the most outspoken Christians will harass people for Jesus, take rights away for Jesus, justify child starvation for Jesus… anything but actually listen to Jesus.

Witnessed ZERO violence in Riverside CA today. Peaceful protesting with good-hearted people who shared cold water amid the heat and American flags amid the rise of fascism. From my vantage point the people have won the day.
