These people are abject failures not capable of even remotely understanding this moment.
🚨 The DSCC — led by Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Kelly, Adam Schiff, and Lisa Blunt Rochester — has formed a joint fundraising committee with Janet Mills.

Mills, running against Graham Platner in the Maine Democratic Senate primary, would become the oldest freshman (79) ever elected, to a 6-year term.

One Battle After Another is an urgent and monumental work of art.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

“All we have to do to win again is throw a bunch of vulnerable people under the bus, along with the actual earth, and we can get right back to not doing anything we promised, insider trading for congress members and pledging fealty to whatever corporation funds us.”

This is the most insane PR statement I’ve ever read. He ABSOLUTELY was drunk trying to pick up a hooker and got violent with her. Jesus Christ…

I cried as hard reading this as I did watching the film. A must read and a beautiful distillation of its simple story about a kid walking his mother home.

The “Man-Made” episode of the new season of King Of The Hill is an incredible takedown of manoshpere/podcast/youtube shit grifting off the insecurities of men. Simple, straight to the point of what bullshit it all is and how we can be better than the generation before us.

Watched this film yesterday and this piece is an incredible distillation of how it feels to watch it. Astonishingly anarchistic, and a beautiful work of art about death, youth, life and unconditional love. I cried long and hard watching it. Please read this.
While I keep working on this new piece, here’s a thread of some of my writing. All of this is free to all.

Short review, followed by a deep dive into themes of 28 Years Later.

I know everyone is making fun of the CEO who got caught cheating on his wife at a Coldplay concert, but has anyone considered that they were destined to be together because they share a deep and abiding sense of horrific taste in music.

I’d say Sinners was a look in the mirror for America, wouldn’t you?
The new Superman film is the first time that America has been forced to stare at itself in the cultural mirror since the election iandunt.substack.com/p/immigrant-...

Of all the discussion surrounding Sinners, it’s very important to remember that Sammies preacher father is played by legendary poet and spoken work artist Saul Williams.

I’m a 52 year old white man with no college whatsoever. I knew all of this when Trump came down that escalator in 2015. Why? Because I got a library card when I was 7. They’re just incurious bigots and I fail to see why that is my or anyone else who didn’t vote for this responsibility to help fix.
i really, really need people to understand that they *didn't* vote for this, no matter how much you insist they did. insisting "they voted for this" elides the information environment that led them to vote the way they did in the first place, the thing that actually needs fixing.
