Understood. Certainly can report!

I’ve been wondering. Not even worth reporting I guess. Who determines the standard and who would prioritize it being set? I guess council would have to push staff.

The one on New Years that is

I did the Darkside Dippers polar dip last year. Was super fun. Recommend!

Cold plunge season is upon us!

Had to look up what this meant!

That’s hilarious / sad

Two of them were like this, and a third was getting loose!

I finally purchased one of those rain pants that fold up into a tiny packet and it has been game changing for my bike travels! (I know Jen has even better gear than this, but just sharing my joy)

This morning's bike ride was an enjoyable three season ride: cold/wintery, then spring rain, then sunny! Love NS weather for that.

The truck is clearly NOT on the No Parking sign, Rich!

Do Gottingen next guys
November 27, 2025 at 2:41 PM
Yah, that was my thinking. Trail maintenance is in many cases volunteer-led. So in theory, possible! Practical? Probably not, just sharing for fun.
November 26, 2025 at 4:15 PM
Is this a thing? Could a volunteer-run org like KidicalMassHfx participate in these budget events under the idea they would then, voluntarily, maintain some aspects of city infrastructure (or lack there-of)??
November 26, 2025 at 1:53 PM
Yes! The original documents highly spoke on accessibility (which tbh should be base line) and natural elements. This is … not that.

Also hoping there’s more to come.

“So we asked ChatGPT” same as “So we did a cursory search!”

Ah, interesting! I've only ever biked this way in the mornings and I've always been curious what this looks like in the evening with rush hour traffic.

It makes sense drivers are/were using it as an escape route from those arterials. Wonder where they'll divert now..

I approve of LRT right at my doorstep (and double bonus for that same line connecting to my kid's friends house)

Not shocked is my new normal for Halifax infra.
November 25, 2025 at 8:07 PM
Yeah. It was way worse but at this time of the year it’s not much better. I use this daily. It’s the only reasonable way to get from Fairview to peninsula on bike.

The photo is actually a week old. I shoveled a bunch of leaves off. But they came back quick!

Thanks. I just left my comment here in favour of separated infrastructure. It'll be awhile before I forget the road-rage induced close call I had here.

I think these streets can work well with the right infra, but the current direction towards LSBs is wasteful and dumb.

Wow, what fancy indoor parking! Yes, this is great. Thank you!
