Kudos to #MaudMaillard on her new paper in @jclinical-invest.bsky.social! Our findings indicate NUDT5 is a key regulator of thiopurine metabolism, offering new insights into how cells strike the balance between de novo vs salvage purine synthesis.
Thiopurines for the treatment of cancer or autoimmune disease are limited by their toxicity.
