I need to get a tin of these - it's been too long.

They're often barely wide enough for two regular bikes to pass comfortably!

Oh, no, food poisoning is miserable 😖 I'm glad he's a little better
November 29, 2025 at 6:56 PM
That sounds very grim - I hope everyone is feeling better soon!

😭😭😭

Hell yeah! Right along with the figs, marcona almonds, manchego and brie

Yeah, seasonal/holiday food is weird that way! My family almost always had roast turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we all like it (good cooks in my family, they don't dry it out). But ask for a roast turkey for your birthday dinner and everyone looks at you like you lost your mind 🤣

I'm also not a major fan of pumpkin pie. I'm happy to eat a slice or two at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I don't crave it or even think about it again til the next holiday season rolls around.

Ok, I don't hate the idea of maple coated toasted pumpkin seeds, that could be a tasty addition to pumpkin pie. But I can see what everyone is saying about it looking like bugs on top . . . I think the aesthetics would work a lot better if they were served on the side like the whipped cream

Can we eminent domain that golf course, put a light rail station in the south west parcel and zone the rest like Broadway on Capitol Hill? Looks like that area could use more housing, shops and services. Fuck the obscenely rich golf players, they can go to the course in Beacon Hill

I never did understand the plastic cooking bag thing - aluminum foil was right there all along!

It's almost certainly a picture of my elderly cat, who is unlikely to kill me directly, but it might kill me when I eventually lose her to old age 😭

Counterpoint: few things smell better than onions caramelized in butter.

Yep, he's suffering for Jesus. It's hard work, avoiding every news report ever and lying 24/7 to excuse the oligarchy's looting and pillaging.
November 27, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Yikes, I didn't have to do anything but sign the paper to get the COVID vax.

I think if you pay post-tax, you get a break when you file, but I don't remember off hand if it's separate from the standard deduction (I don't think it is).

I've bought insurance on the exchange since 2018. I'm lucky my current employer reimburses me, but I was on my own for several years
November 25, 2025 at 11:07 PM
TIL! I think this is good!

If I understand correctly, members of Congress and their staff can make pre-tax premium payments and get at least partially reimbursement for their premiums, which are benefits not available to many other exchange participants.

I'm in this post and I don't like it
November 25, 2025 at 10:54 PM
No, no, no, I want more of this witchcraft. Assuming it's not AI.
November 25, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Damn, I just can't like this post. No candy cane joe-joes? It's not going to ruin my winter if I don't get any this year, but they are so nice with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on a cold day.

I mean, definitely don't put your feet up on the seat in front of you, that's gross, especially if you're barefoot! Ew! But how you cover your feet on the airplane is nobody else's business but your own. I swear this guy has never been in a TSA line or flown coach in his life.
November 25, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Well, you can hardly go wrong by adding butter 😂

Can confirm the clicky dumpster fire is cute and fun to click!
