AppleScript has to be the most jank OS automation tool in the business right now. I'm sure there's better alternatives but wow, it breaks until you have a magic run button click incantation that it happily executes and succeeds :)

"Efficiency" means better output over costs. That's not the same as simply reducing costs.
Say you have a system that's 100 output for 10 cost.
Taking it to 110 output for 8 cost -- that's efficiency.
Taking it to 20 output for 5 cost is INEFFICIENT cost cutting.
